When was the last time you've done something for the first time?
Or yet again:
When was the last time you challenged yourself?
It's not everyday you hear about surfing in Montreal, and I still get the odd comment of: Wait - you can surf in Montreal?
UHHH Yeah you can! Ok, not ocean surfing but they call it river surfing, which is a forever wave.
Now that you know it exists, you're pretty eager in trying it out, and that's when KSF comes in hand. They are kind of like the birth of the surf industry in Montreal.
From river surfing, to SUP and kayaks: They have it all.
It simply starts with going online, registering for a class and showing up! And what not better way of getting out of your comfort zone than trying some good old river surfing am I right?
So I decided to photograph a 101 surfing class from KSF Saturday afternoon and see what it's all about. Friendly staff, amazing scenery, it's the perfect activity to do on a summer day.
One thing I love from KSF is the friendliness of the company. Everyone seems so stoked and passionate about inspiring others to get in the water and try something new and that's truly what it's all about. It's hard to get out of your comfort zone, and they're there to help you set your fears a side and to simply have fun.
Here are a few shots I took during the class to give you a better idea on what to expect.
Now when will you try it?
