Shelter x Alex C.D photography

I discovered Shelter last year through Instagram and instantly fell in love with the products that I absolutely had to meet the person behind it.

So I drove to the South Shore and met MJ, a beautiful inspiring artist that loves to create cozy pieces that are inspired by the West coast.

Instant connection, we were destined for a collaboration but at the time I wasn't sure what to create. It was only a few months later, when things started to slow down when I came up with the idea to create a frame-decoration showcasing my prints. We wanted to create a piece of art that would inspire people to fall in love with the west coast. To be able to wake up in the morning and see a beautiful calming photograph to start the day.

Brainstorming, sketches and commitment, we are finally happy to share with you all our artsy collaboration: Chester.

Made with recycled wood pieces, this ''frame'' was designed locally in Quebec. Perfect add on to your bedside table or desk. One of my favorite characteristics is the fact that every piece is unique, made with different pieces of wood. Some will be a little lighter, some a little darker and that is the beauty of it.

Each frame comes with three different 4x6 prints from the beautiful region of British Columbia to help inspire and calm you in your day to day life. Photography for me is a therapy to help against my anxiety, and I truly believe looking at a calming photo while you are stressed will help get through those tougher times.

You can purchase Chester either on Shelter's website or my own (direct yourself in my shop section).

Thanks to all your support and a special thanks to Marie-Josée for this beautiful collaboration. I couldn't be more prouder of the outcome, and I hope you all do as well.
