Into the North
This summer I had the opportunity to take part in an amazing project, called Into The North.
I spent two weeks with 6 inspiring humans discovering the region of Eeyou Istchee Baie-James to document and create a special 8 episode web series for one simple goal: To inspire others to visit this beautiful region.
We drove 5 000km in the space of two weeks cramped in one van. It was such a rewarding experience.
For the longest time, I have had a passion to document my own country, especially my own province and a particular attraction to the northern regions.
Spring was a difficult moment for me, dealing with the worst part of my depression. When I received the email saying I would be part of the adventure, I was scared at first wondering if my body and mind would even be able to handle it, but I was also excited because I deeply needed an adventure to hopefully re-balance myself a little more.
I have to admit it was hard, being with a group for two weeks with a pretty intense itinerary. My anxiety was put to the test, but I pulled through and came out stronger than ever. I met incredible humans that I am lucky to now call friends. I had the opportunity to see my very first wild Porcupine caribou which was another spectacular and unforgettable moment.
Now that all the episodes are out, I invite you all to watch them. In the high hopes that you will feel inspired in discovering a beautiful region, with a very rich culture.
